Drofat™ 285 (Ricinoleic Acid) is a clear pale-yellow liquid with an acid value of 175 mg KOH/gm (min) and a viscosity of 350-450 cP at 25°C. It is widely used in lubricants, greases, urethanes, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and textiles due to its excellent moisturizing and stabilizing properties.
Drofat™ 286 (12-Hydroxy Stearic Acid) appears as white to cream flakes, powders, or granules with an acid value >175 and a melting point above 74°C. It plays a key role in manufacturing lithium-based greases, where the lithium salt of Drowax 3503 serves as a thickener.
